Frontier Fire Protection Ltd. is situated in Abbotsford, BC and is hiring a Construction cost estimator to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• The candidate must prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads.
• The candidate must create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
• The candidate must advise on tendering procedures.
• The candidate must analyze tenders and recommend awards.
• The candidate must set up cost monitoring and reporting systems.
• The candidate must monitor and adjust contract expenditures.
• The candidate must prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
• The candidate must liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
