CNC (computer numerical control) machinist

Saltfleet Machining Inc is situated in Hamilton, ON and is hiring a CNC (computer numerical control) machinist to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Day, Weekend, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts.
• The candidate must read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
• The candidate must fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
• The candidate must maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
• The candidate must document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
• The candidate must maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• The candidate must set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.

• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
