Clinical counsellor

Now hiring: Clinical counsellor at Creative Counselling Centre in Squamish, BC. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position.

Job Description

• The candidate must consult with other healthcare professionals to evaluate treatment plans.
• The candidate must evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and patient outcomes.
• The candidate must interview clients, prepare case histories and assess presenting problems.
• The candidate must accurately record observations.
• The candidate must write detailed progress reports.
• The candidate must provide therapeutic services.
• The candidate must counsel individuals and groups to support personal, social and vocational development.
• The candidate must apply psychological theory and principles regarding behaviour and mental processes.
• The candidate must develop and implement counselling and intervention programs to assist clients in setting and achieving goals.
• The candidate must counsel clients, provide therapy and mediation services and facilitate group sessions.
• The candidate must maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
• The candidate must plan intervention programs.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must possess a master’s degree in a relevant field.
• The ideal candidate must have more than 5 years of experience in a related industry.
