Licensed practical nurse (L.P.N.)

Oyster Harbour Senior Community in Vancouver, BC is seeking a self-motivated Licensed practical nurse (L.P.N.). The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer medications as prescribed.
• The candidate must monitor nutritional intake.
• The candidate must observe and record medication’s therapeutic and side effects.
• The candidate must record observations of medication therapeutic effects and side effects in patient files.
• The candidate must take vital signs.
• The candidate must provide safety and health education to individuals and their families.
• The candidate must provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a nursing home/home for the aged or people who don't need to be in a hospital but can't be cared for at home.
