Civil engineering technologist

PNJ Engineering Inc. in Etobicoke, ON is inviting applications for the position of Civil engineering technologist. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must read blueprints to determine dimensions of structures or systems and material requirements.
• The candidate must assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings.
• The candidate must participate in field surveys, inspections, or technical investigations.
• The candidate must prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.
• The candidate must prepare engineering designs and drawings.
• The candidate must prepare project schedules.
• The candidate must supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations, and testing of construction materials.
• The candidate must provide consultation services to government bodies and other organizations.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
• The candidate must work in a general office.
• The candidate must work in a laboratory.
