SOAR Community Services in Brantford, ON is inviting applications for the position of Child and youth counsellor. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Terms of employment: Permanent employment - Part time. Work schedule: Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must counsel individuals and groups to support personal, social and vocational development.
• The candidate must follow up on counseling program results and client adjustments.
• The candidate must help clients manage physical illnesses and disorders.
• The candidate must liaise with community agencies or partners to coordinate services and provide referrals.
• The candidate must administer medications as prescribed.
• The candidate must conduct therapeutic recreational or athletic activities.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
