Chemical technician

INTER COSMETIQUES INC. ( Scarborough, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Chemical technician. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. The schedule involves Day, , 08:00 to 16:30 shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must conduct tests and analyses using physical and chemical separation techniques.
• The candidate must maintain laboratory equipment.
• The candidate must operate laboratory apparatus.
• The candidate must compile records for analytical studies.
• The candidate must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• The candidate must assist in developing sampling and analysis programs to maintain quality standards.
• The candidate must assist in the development of standards and health and safety measures.
• The candidate must compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results.
• The candidate must prepare solutions of gases or liquids, reagents and sample formulations.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be proactive.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be able to distinguish between colours.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
• The candidate's relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
