Cemetery manager

Elmwood Cemetery in Moncton, NB is seeking a self-motivated Cemetery manager. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Seasonal employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must direct and control construction projects.
• The candidate must identify customers’ needs.
• The candidate must plan and organize construction projects.
• The candidate must prepare reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility.
• The candidate must assess clients’ needs and resources to recommend appropriate goods or services.
• The candidate must prepare and administer sales contracts.
• The candidate must develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
• The candidate must direct the maintenance and repair of an establishment's machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
• The candidate must hire and oversee the training and supervision of staff.
• The candidate must plan and manage the facility's operations budget.
• The candidate must plan, organize, and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, and snow removal.
• The candidate must train customers’ staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment.
• The candidate must troubleshoot problems related to equipment.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.
• The candidate must weed, prune, and trim trees and plants.
• The candidate must perform tree removal.
• The candidate must repair and maintain equipment.
• The candidate must remove litter and garbage.
• The candidate must plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• The candidate must lay sod or seed.
• The candidate must cut grass.
• The candidate must cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
• The candidate must assist with landscape constructions.
• The candidate must have supervisory experience.
• The candidate must water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
• The candidate must operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment.
