Cashier

Fort St. John Co-op in Fort St. John, BC is inviting applications for the position of Cashier. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. The schedule involves Early morning, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible hours shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate the cash register accurately.
• The candidate must process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments.
• The candidate must receive payment for goods or services.
• The candidate must stock shelves and clean counter areas.
• The candidate must greet customers.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
• The candidate must monitor all entrances and exits and request proof of payment when necessary.
• The candidate must refuel vehicles.
• The candidate must receive payments from customers.
• The candidate must perform minor servicing and maintenance on vehicles.
• The candidate must handle and store hazardous products safely.
• The candidate must perform minor property maintenance.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a gas bar.
• The candidate must work in a confectionery or corner store.
