Barrhead Liquor Store in Barrhead, AB is seeking a self-motivated Cashier. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate the cash register accurately.
• The candidate must process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments.
• The candidate must scan items.
• The candidate must tabulate total payment for goods or services required.
• The candidate must receive payment for goods or services.
• The candidate must calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales.
• The candidate must perform suggestive selling.
• The candidate must stock shelves and clean counter areas.
• The candidate must greet customers.
• The candidate must wrap or place merchandise in bags.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
• The candidate must monitor all entrances and exits and request proof of payment when necessary.
• The candidate must participate in promotional activities.
• The candidate must verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
