Sofina Foods Inc. in Saint-Damase, QC is inviting applications for the position of Butcher, industrial. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Work schedule: Morning, Day, Evening, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must slaughter livestock and remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses.
• The candidate must remove feathers, singe, and wash poultry to prepare for further processing or packaging.
• The candidate must cut meat and poultry into specific cuts for institutional, commercial, or wholesale use.
• The candidate must remove bones from meat.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate must be accurate.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in slaughter houses.
