Barn worker

LUKS8 RANCH LTD. is situated in Ladysmith, BC and is hiring a Barn worker to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas.
• The candidate must groom horses in preparation for competitions and shows.
• The candidate must handle animals.
• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate must perform livestock feeding.
• The candidate must feed and tend animals.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
• The candidate must maintain accurate work records and logs.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.
• The candidate must monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in all weather conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
