Bar service waiter/waitress

Uptown Lounge ( Charlottetown, PE) is currently looking for a skilled Bar service waiter/waitress. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Permanent employment - Part time position. Flexible availability required for: Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
• The candidate must address and resolve customers' complaints or concerns professionally.
• The candidate must present bills to customers and accept payments via cash, credit or debit cards, travellers’ cheques, or room billings.
• The candidate must describe menu items, including daily specials, for customers.
• The candidate must enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
• The candidate must balance cash and record sales.
• The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
• The candidate must serve food and beverages.
• The candidate must take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.

• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
• The candidate must work in a pub.
• The candidate must be able to work in a hotel, motel, or resort with additional sports and leisure facilities, set in a natural environment that attracts visitors beyond the accommodations.
