Now hiring: Bakery manager - retail at Cobs Bread in Vancouver, BC. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must direct and control daily operations.
• The candidate must evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• The candidate must plan and organize daily operations effectively.
• The candidate must manage staff and assign duties to ensure smooth operations.
• The candidate must study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the effect of competitors’ operations on sales.
• The candidate must determine which merchandise and services are to be sold.
• The candidate must implement price and credit policies.
• The candidate must locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale.
• The candidate must develop and implement marketing strategies.
• The candidate must determine staffing requirements.
• The candidate must resolve issues that arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
• The candidate must recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
• The candidate must conduct performance reviews.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a retail service establishment.
