Job Description

  • The candidate must estimate repair costs based on damage examination reports.
  • The candidate must inspect repaired vehicles.
  • The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
  • The candidate must replace front-end components, body components, doors, frames, and underbody components.
  • The candidate must file, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired.
  • The candidate must mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
  • The candidate must hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers.
  • The candidate must remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
  • The candidate must apply primers and repaint surfaces.
  • The candidate must repair or replace interior components.
  • The candidate must repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs.
  • The candidate must mix paint and blend and match colors.
  • The candidate must operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
  • The candidate must straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
  • The candidate must hold a Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
  • Or equivalent experience.
  • The candidate must be dependable.
