Loewen Windows and Doors in Steinbach, MB is inviting applications for the position of Assembler, wood products. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must assemble wood products such as window sashes, doors, pallets and barrels.
• The candidate must make minor adjustments and repairs to wood products.
• The candidate must record information on products inspected.
• The candidate must assemble door panels, trusses, or modular components to make prefabricated housing.
• The candidate must read blueprints, written specifications, and production drawings.
• The candidate must pack items for shipping and distribution.
• The candidate must install hardware such as knobs and hinges.
• The candidate must inspect wood products for conformance to quality standards.
• The candidate must mark defective parts or products for repair.
• The candidate must trim, smooth, and shape surfaces.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
