Accounting technician

McGovern Hurley LLP in North York, ON is inviting applications for the position of Accounting technician. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Work schedule: Overtime required, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must calculate fixed assets and depreciation accurately.
• The candidate must keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
• The candidate must maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
• The candidate must post journal entries.
• The candidate must prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
• The candidate must prepare trial balances of books.
• The candidate must reconcile accounts.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• The candidate must have 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a head office to manage administrative tasks, coordinate operations, and support organizational goals.
