LA FORET ROYAL OAK in Burnaby, BC is seeking a self-motivated Pastry chef. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity.

Job Description

• The candidate must estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items.
• The candidate must demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff.
• The candidate must supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
• The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• The candidate must prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
