Job Description
- The candidate must test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment.
- The candidate must troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment.
- The candidate must use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts.
- The candidate must replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components.
- The candidate must wind, assemble, and install various types of coils.
- The candidate must perform some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators, or other parts.
- The candidate must perform on-site servicing and repair.
- The candidate must test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must be fluent in English.
- The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
- Relevant experience considered in lieu of education.
- The candidate must be accurate.
- The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
- The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
- The candidate must be a good team player.
Work Setting
- The candidate should be involved in the maintenance, repair, and maintenance of machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
