Welder helper

Winnipeg West Automotive Group ( Headingley, MB) is currently looking for a skilled Welder helper. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must immerse metal products in cleaning solutions.
• The candidate must sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
• The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.
• The candidate must read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
• The candidate must operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• The candidate must maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
• The candidate must fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal.
• The candidate must determine weldability of materials.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be punctual.
• The candidate must be hardworking.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
