Tunnelling machine operator

Erritt Construction Ltd in Stouffville, ON is inviting applications for the position of Tunnelling machine operator. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Evening, Night, Shift, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation.
• The candidate must operate heavy equipment.
• The candidate must read blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must measure distance, volume, length, and weight.
• The candidate must understand the purpose and proper use of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• The candidate must complete onboard and other logs.
• The candidate must conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
• The candidate must prepare accident reports.
• The candidate must perform minor repairs to equipment.
• The candidate must operate hydraulic pumping systems.
• The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
