Truck driver-supervisor

CHARTER GROUP INC. in Surrey, BC is inviting applications for the position of Truck driver-supervisor. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare production and other reports.
• The candidate must recommend measures to improve work methods.
• The candidate must resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must supervise workers and oversee projects.
• The candidate must train or arrange for training of staff.
• The candidate must coordinate and schedule activities effectively.
• The candidate must ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• The candidate must recommend personnel actions.
• The candidate must co-ordinate repairs and rentals.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• Equivalent experience is acceptable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a supervisory role to oversee teams, coordinate operations, and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
