Truck driver

ROLL TO HAUL LOGISTICS INC is situated in 88 Wayside ln, St. Thomas, ON, N5P 0G3 and is hiring a Truck driver to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment - Full time opportunity. Work schedule: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day. The LMIA has granted approval for this role.

Job Description

• The candidate must plan or adjust routes using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
• The candidate must drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must perform brake adjustments.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.
• The candidate must transport and handle dangerous goods.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be hardworking.
• The candidate must have patience.

• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
