Truck driver

Asante Logistic Group Inc. ( Truro, NS) is currently looking for a skilled Truck driver. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On call, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Security and Safety

• The candidate must undergo a criminal record check.
• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
• The candidate must be able to pass a driving record check (abstract).
• The candidate must be able to pass a drug test.
• The candidate must be able to complete a medical exam.
