Printing press operator

Imprimerie Ste-Julie inc ( Sainte-Julie, QC) is currently looking for a skilled Printing press operator. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Shift timings include: Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must mount plates or cylinders and make necessary adjustments.
• The candidate must fill ink fountains and control color and viscosity.
• The candidate must set up the press and operate it at slow speed to check samples.
• The candidate must monitor regular press runs for quality using a computer control console.
• The candidate must remove and clean plates and cylinders at the end of the press run.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be able to distinguish between colours.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate's relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
• The candidate must work in commercial or in-house printing to operate printing equipment, manage production processes, and produce high-quality printed materials efficiently.
• The candidate must work in in-house printing or binding to operate printing and binding equipment, produce high-quality materials, and manage workflow efficiently.
