Job Description

The candidate must inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment.
The candidate must repair cable signals.
The candidate must diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace, or repair telecommunications equipment.
The candidate must inspect operation of telecommunications equipment.
The candidate must repair or replace defective telephone equipment.
The candidate must test installed telephone systems to locate transmission faults.
The candidate must analyze test results and adjust, change, or repair switching systems, networks, associated equipment, and software.
The candidate must operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.
The candidate must connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets.
The candidate must install cable modems and software to enable Internet access.
The candidate must maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems.
The candidate must repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers.

Job Requirements

The candidate must be bilingual.
The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
Equivalent professional experience accepted.
