Now hiring: Swine technician at Jena Farms Inc. in Fullarton, ON. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Day, Weekend shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must handle animals.
• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate must perform livestock feeding.
• The candidate must perform pig littering activities, including clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medications, identifying piglets, and castration.
• The candidate must treat livestock health issues.
• The candidate must perform weaning tasks.
• The candidate must feed and tend animals.
• The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
• The candidate must detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.

• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
