FANCY SUSHI in Vanderhoof, BC is inviting applications for the position of Sushi chef. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items.
• The candidate must estimate labour costs.
• The candidate must maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
• The candidate must analyze operating costs and other data.
• The candidate must demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff.
• The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
• The candidate must prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
• The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
• The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
