Job Description

  • The candidate must perform administrative and office activities.
  • The candidate must assess clients’ relevant skill strengths and development needs.
  • The candidate must develop, co-ordinate, and implement the delivery of specific services within the community.
  • The candidate must perform housekeeping activities.
  • The candidate must perform food preparation.
  • The candidate must resolve conflict situations.
  • The candidate must supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses.
  • The candidate must implement behaviour management programs.
  • The candidate must liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients.
  • The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • The candidate must accompany clients to appointments and social outings.
  • The candidate must offer mentoring.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must be fluent in English.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • Equivalent professional experience accepted.
  • The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • The candidate must be accurate.
  • The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.

  • The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
  • The candidate must work in a social service or charity agency, delivering programs and support that address community needs and promote social welfare.
  • The candidate should work in a private residence, office, or work area only open to the public in the ordinary course of business if by individual invitation.
