Supervisor, logistics

Paarizaat International Ltd in Concord, ON is seeking a self-motivated Supervisor, logistics. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must develop specific plans to prioritize.
• The candidate must organize tasks to accomplish the work.
• The candidate must oversee operational logistics of the organization.
• The candidate must plan and organize operational logistics of the organization.
• The candidate must coordinate activities with other work units or departments.
• The candidate must prepare and submit reports.
• The candidate must ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery.
• The candidate must arrange for maintenance and repair work.
• The candidate must resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must train workers in duties and policies.
• The candidate must arrange training for staff.
• The candidate must conduct performance reviews.
• The candidate must coordinate, assign, and review work activities.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in manufacturing industry to operate machinery, assemble products, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy, busy place to work, with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, working alongside many forklift truck drivers who are moving pallets between shelves.
• The candidate should work in wholesalers, purchase their products from a manufacturer or distributor and then sell them to another retailer to market them to end customers.
