Access Countertops Ltd is situated in Kamloops, BC and is hiring a Stone products machine operator to join the team. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Overtime available, , 06:30 to 16:00.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate blade or wire saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions.
• The candidate must set up, adjust, and operate single-function machines to mix, drill, grind, and cut concrete to specifications.
• The candidate must check products for quality control.
• The candidate must move products using forklift, crane, or hydraulic hoist.
• The candidate must operate machines to grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs, or other stone products to specific shapes or designs.
• The candidate must read blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• The candidate must operate machines to drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
