Specialist chef

Sula Indian Restaurant ( Vancouver, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Specialist chef. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. The schedule involves Morning, Day, Evening, Shift shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items.
• The candidate must maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
• The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
• The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• The candidate must supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• The candidate must monitor quality and production levels.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or equivalent experience.
