Sous-chef

DoubleTree Fallsview Resort & Spa by Hilton in Niagara Falls, ON is seeking a self-motivated Sous-chef. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Shift shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff.
• The candidate must supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
• The candidate must create new recipes.
• The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
• The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
• The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
