Small engine and equipment mechanic

Pilonlandworks ( Ottawa, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Small engine and equipment mechanic. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position.

Job Description

• The candidate must diagnose and isolate faults in engines and motors.
• The candidate must discuss work with the supervisor.
• The candidate must estimate repair costs.
• The candidate must review work orders.
• The candidate must adjust, repair or replace parts using hand tools and equipment.
• The candidate must test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance.
• The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
