Cochrane Lake Small Animal Clinic is situated in Rocky View, AB and is hiring a Small animal veterinarian to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time.

Job Description

• The candidate must diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds, and flocks through physical examinations or laboratory tests.
• The candidate must treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery.
• The candidate must vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases.
• The candidate must advise clients on feeding, housing, behaviour, breeding, hygiene, and general care of animals.
• The candidate must provide a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, dentistry, and euthanasia.
• The candidate must diagnose dental diseases.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must have the ability to work independently.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a veterinary clinic to provide care and treatment for animals, assist veterinary staff, and support daily operations of the facility.
