Job Description
- The candidate must determine methods of shipment.
- The candidate must schedule distribution of goods.
- The candidate must schedule transportation conveyances.
- The candidate must prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents.
- The candidate must inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documentation.
- The candidate must maintain internal record-keeping systems.
- The candidate must record shortages and reject damaged goods.
- The candidate must route goods to appropriate storage areas.
- The candidate must unpack goods received.
- The candidate must affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments.
- The candidate must oversee loading and unloading of goods.
- The candidate must supervise material handlers and helpers.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must be fluent in English.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
- The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
- The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
- The candidate should have an eye for detail.
- The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
- The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
