Pest control technician

Avon Pest Control Inc. in Delta, BC is seeking a self-motivated Pest control technician. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must inspect buildings and surrounding areas for signs of infestation.
• The candidate must provide cost estimates for projects or services.
• The candidate must determine the type of treatment required.
• The candidate must prepare and spray chemical mixtures on infested areas.
• The candidate must fumigate households.
• The candidate must place and set traps to capture and remove animals.
• The candidate must clean out areas that harbour pests.
• The candidate must advise clients on how to prevent pest infestation.
• The candidate must ensure safety procedures are followed.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
