Shipper-receiver

Twelve Ga. Customs Ltd. in Guelph, ON is inviting applications for the position of Shipper-receiver. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must assemble containers and crates.
• The candidate must inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documentation.
• The candidate must route goods to appropriate storage areas.
• The candidate must pack goods to be shipped.
• The candidate must unpack goods received.
• The candidate must affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy, busy place to work, with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, working alongside many forklift truck drivers who are moving pallets between shelves.
• The candidate must work in manufacturing industry to operate machinery, assemble products, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
