Senior bookkeeper

The Russell Inn Hotel & Conference Centre in Russell, MB is inviting applications for the position of Senior bookkeeper. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
• The candidate must maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
• The candidate must post journal entries.
• The candidate must reconcile accounts.
• The candidate must prepare financial statements and reports.
• The candidate must prepare the general ledger.
• The candidate must manage accounts payable.
• The candidate must manage accounts receivable.
• The candidate must calculate billing charges.
• The candidate must calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales.
• The candidate must prepare bank reconciliations.
• The candidate must assist in preparing annual budgets.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
