Scale mechanic

SOLMAZ FOODS INC. is situated in Etobicoke, ON and is hiring a Scale mechanic to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must inspect products to determine the requirements for repair.
• The candidate must repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power, or specially designed tools.
• The candidate must test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning.
• The candidate must calibrate products using hand tools.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must focus on repair work, restoring damaged, deteriorated, or broken items to good condition.
• The candidate must work in a food processing plant.
