Sawing machine operator - sawmill

Unisaco, coopérative des travailleurs de Sacré-Coeur in Sacré-Coeur-Saguenay, QC is seeking a self-motivated Sawing machine operator - sawmill. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Early morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift shifts.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a sawmill to operate machinery, process timber, and maintain quality and safety standards.
