CP Rec Club in Carleton Place, ON is seeking a self-motivated Early childhood educator (ECE). We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• The candidate must maintain daycare equipment.
• The candidate must lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
• The candidate must assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping accurate records.
• The candidate must encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activities.
• The candidate must engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
• The candidate must guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
• The candidate must establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
• The candidate must plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
• The candidate must plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a nursery school to provide early childhood education, supervision, and developmental support.
• The candidate should work in before and after-school programs to provide a safe, fun environment for all students to participate in academic, leisure, and recreational activities outside the traditional school day.
