Acadia Roofing & Contracting Limited in Port Williams, NS is inviting applications for the position of Roofer. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel.
• The candidate must install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.
• The candidate must repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings.
• The candidate must apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
• The candidate must install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
• The candidate must install sheet metal flashings.
• The candidate must erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work at heights.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
