Main Street Restauarant ( Ingonish Beach, NS) is currently looking for a skilled Cook. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must plan menus and estimate food requirements for preparation.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and food items.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• The candidate must inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• The candidate must clean kitchen and work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
• The candidate must work from a remote location, performing their duties from a site other than the employer’s central office while maintaining productivity and communication.
