RMT (registered massage therapist)

Golden Lotus Spa is situated in Summerside, PE and is hiring a RMT (registered massage therapist) to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Work schedule: Day, Evening, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain, and lower grade mobilizations.
• The candidate must apply finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body.
• The candidate must explain procedures, risks, and benefits to clients.
• The candidate must maintain records of treatments given.
• The candidate must massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body.
• The candidate must suggest home care instructions and provide information about techniques.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be interpersonally aware.
• The candidate must uphold values and ethics.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a day spa to provide treatments, support clients, and maintain a professional and hygienic environment.
• The candidate must be able to work in a spa center.
