Repairer, storage battery

Now hiring: Repairer, storage battery at Cellcare Batteries Limited in Brampton, ON. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position.

Job Description

• The candidate must test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment.
• The candidate must troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment.
• The candidate must use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts.
• The candidate must replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components.
• The candidate must weld or braze components.
• The candidate must wind, assemble, and install various types of coils.
• The candidate must perform on-site servicing and repair.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should be involved in the maintenance, repair, and maintenance of machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
• The candidate must focus on repair work, restoring damaged, deteriorated, or broken items to good condition.
• The candidate must work in testing services to conduct evaluations, perform quality checks, and ensure products, materials, or systems meet established standards and specifications.
