Registered practical nurse (R.P.N.)

Riverwood Senior Living ( Alliston, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Registered practical nurse (R.P.N.). The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment - Part time employment. Required shifts: Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer medications as prescribed.
• The candidate must ensure infection control.
• The candidate must provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care.
• The candidate must provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.
• The candidate must monitor patients’ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team.
• The candidate must take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.

• The candidate must undergo a criminal record check.
• The candidate must provide up-to-date immunization records.
• The candidate must be able to pass a tuberculosis test.

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
• The candidate must have their own transportation.
