Registered nurse (R.N.)

CITY HEALTHCARE SERVICES in Toronto, ON is seeking a self-motivated Registered nurse (R.N.). We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position.

Job Description

• The candidate must assist health care practitioners during examinations or treatments.
• The candidate must engage in community program development.
• The candidate must monitor patients and advise physicians of any changes in patients' conditions.
• The candidate must participate in community needs assessments to support program development.
• The candidate must address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
• The candidate must assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
• The candidate must collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
• The candidate must dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
• The candidate must manage home care cases.
• The candidate must operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment.
• The candidate must provide nursing care.
• The candidate must provide supportive counselling and life skills programming.
• The candidate must supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff.
• The candidate must perform administrative tasks.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a long-term care centre to provide care, support residents, and maintain safety and wellbeing.
