Registered physiotherapist

MAGNUS HEALTH AND WELLNESS ( Richmond, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Registered physiotherapist. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, On call, Flexible hours, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer evaluative tests.
• The candidate must assess patients’ physical abilities.
• The candidate must examine patients.
• The candidate must make decisions on tests and procedures.
• The candidate must plan physiotherapy programs.
• The candidate must select appropriate exercises, apparatus, and manipulations.
• The candidate must maintain clinical and progress reports.
• The candidate must confer with other health professionals.
• The candidate must teach and/or supervise exercises to patients.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must possess a master’s degree in a relevant field.
• The candidate must be punctual.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be interpersonally aware.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in sports therapy prevention and management of injuries resulting from sports and exercise participation at all ages and all levels of ability.
• The candidate should work in orthopedics and specialize in the musculoskeletal system - the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles essential to movement and everyday life.
• The candidate must work in a chronic care therapy center to provide long-term therapeutic support and rehabilitation services.
• The candidate should practice manipulative therapy and apply gentle pressure to manipulate the muscles, soft tissues and joints.
• The candidate must work in a private practice.
