Redmond Hurley Pond St. Anthony Family Dental is situated in St. Anthony, NL and is hiring a Registered dental assistant to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare patients for dental examinations.
• The candidate must perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory.
• The candidate must prepare dental instruments and filling materials.
• The candidate must sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment.
• The candidate must perform intra-oral duties.
• The candidate must take and develop X-rays.
• The candidate must record dental procedures performed on patients.
• The candidate must take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a dental practice to assist with patient care, support dental procedures, manage records, and ensure smooth daily operations.
